Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator works with church staff, church members, and ministry groups to promote events and communicate announcements to the church through email, website, social media, and other print/digital means.

Responsibilities

Create graphics, flyers, handouts, and other media for sermons, announcements, ministries, and other church events.

Prepare weekly print bulletin for Sunday service, which includes the sermon outline and announcements.

Update pre- and post-service slideshows with announcements and ministry/event promotions.

Maintain website with updated information, graphics, photos, and video.

Oversee social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and post content (graphics and video) related to services, sermons, and other church events.

Email and text church members about upcoming events, prayer requests, and other church needs.

Coordinate with the Pastor and Worship Leader to schedule requests for in-person announcements that occur at the beginning of each service, and send any associated photos, slideshows, and videos to the Worship Leader.

Maintain church calendar and schedule requests for building usage, both for church events and personal uses by church members.

Maintain online church member directory and email/text contact list.

Qualifications

Experience in graphic design; photography and/or video production experience is a plus

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Familiar with technology, specifically using Microsoft Office 360, Google Forms, Constant Contact, Wix, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube (posting/editing within their Creator Studio), Canva, and/or other media editing platforms
